Yelena Isinbaeva Brand
The best female athlete makes comeback in style.
Three-time IAAF Athlete of the Year, the award-winning Russian pole-vaulter Yelena Isinbaeva, widely considered the greatest pole-vaulter of all time, launches her own brand ahead of her participation in Rio 2016.
Two-time Olympic gold medalist and a three-time World Champion, Yelena Isinbaeva is the current world record holder in pole vaulting with the unbeaten height of 5.06 meters.
The logo serves as a metaphor for the athlete's vault. It is derived from Isinbaeva's unique vaulting technique and shows her determination to always reach new heights.
The visual style is rooted in Isinbaeva's approach to pole vaulting. For each try, Isinbaeva selects a specific pole.
For a warm-up vault she would pick a cerise-banded pole.
For an award-winning heigh she would vault with a blue-banded pole, and for breaking records she would only choose a pole with a golden band.
The colors also correspond to three areas of Isinbaeva’s public activities.
Cerise would represent Yelena as athlete.
Blue would be assigned to Isinbaeva Foundation, a charity that builds sports facilities for children in Russia.
Gold would be the official color of the upcoming Isinbaeva Cup, a massive international athletic event organized and supported by Yelena Isinbaeva.
The ISINBAEVA brand is a story of a unique athlete. A story done in cerise, blue, and gold — the colors that are from now on are associated with starting bold, playing fair, and breaking records.
